A couple of years ago, Ken Evoy and Sitesell introduced Content 2.0, which was one of the rare add-ons to SBI that cost additional money.
It was designed to make it easier to add interactive features to the static websites that Site Build It helped us create and maintain.
Some SBI webmasters have done very well with this addition and have added hundreds or thousands of additional pages to their sites from contributions by their readers, plus comments on pages.
In fact, this has worked so well for some SBI webmasters that Ken made a major announcement a few weeks ago.
Content 2.0 is now free for all SBI sites and this was part of the announcement of the introduction of SBI version 2.0.
Calling this new version 2.0 is a bit misleading, however.
Site Build It has been constantly upgraded over the years and I'm willing to bet that they could have made a case for version 6 or 7 by now, but they are taking it slowly and methodically.
A lot of people don't believe that SBI offers all that we say it does, but I've been using it for years to build sites and my newest site at Murphy Gold is powered by SBI. I know that it works and works well.
With the introduction of free Content 2.0 and all the other upgrades that have been introduced this year and those that are coming soon, SBI gets better and better and the price stays the same - a very affordable $300 per year.
